Services and Fees

We welcome referrals from GPs, health practioners and self-referrals.

How we work

The Co-Lab Clinic is a shared professional hub for independent mental health practitioners. While our clinicians share a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care, each operates their own independent practice.

This means your clinician manages their own:

  • Bookings and scheduling

  • Specialised clinical focus

  • Individual fee structures and billing

Therapy

Our diverse group of independent practitioners offer support across a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Mood & Anxiety: Depression, low mood, and various anxiety-related concerns.

  • Trauma: Support for past or recent traumatic events (including ACC Sensitive Claims).

  • Neurodiversity: ADHD coaching, ASD-informed therapy, and neuro-affirming support.

  • Identity & Growth: Gender-affirming care and the exploration of identity.

  • Behavioural Concerns: Intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviours, and eating or sleeping difficulties.

  • Relationships: Navigating interpersonal challenges and relationship dynamics.

Fees

Because our clinicians practice independently, fees may vary between practitioners based on their experience and area of expertise.

  • Standard Sessions: Typically, a 50-minute session is charged at approximately $210 (including GST).

  • Initial Consultations: First appointments are generally more in-depth, take longer, and therefore incur a higher fee.

We recommend confirming specific rates directly with your chosen clinician during the enquiry process.

Psychological Assessments

The Co-Lab Clinic provides a professional environment for comprehensive psychological assessments designed to provide clarity, support diagnostic understanding, and guide future treatment pathways. The independent clinicians who practice from our space bring specialist expertise to several key areas:

  • Neurodevelopmental Assessments: In-depth evaluations for adult ADHD and Autism (ASD).

  • Specialist Cover Assessments: Expert assessments for ACC Integrated Sensitive Claims

  • Clinical Evaluations: Diagnostic assessments for a variety of other psychological concerns.

“Thank you for everything you helped me achieve. Seeing a psychologist wasn’t something I thought I would be doing this year. I feel much better for the sessions we did together. It was a really enlightening experience.” - W.P., a Co-Lab Clinic Client

  • Insurance - Insurance providers sometimes cover psychological assessment and/or therapy. You will need to check with them directly to see what cover they provide.

  • WINZ - You may be eligible for partial funding for therapy through Work and Income. Check out their website to see if you meet criteria.

  • ACC - If you have experienced sexual trauma you may be eligible for funding through ACC’s Sensitive Claims Services. Funding is arranged through any ACC registered clinician. Learn more about that on ACC’s website.

  • Transgender Package of Care - Some clients can access funding from Te Whata Ora Waitaha (Health NZ - Canterbury). To access this funding your GP will need to make a referral to us directly through ERMS (their referral system).
