Alyshia Searle
Alyshia is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with experience across adult and child mental health, physical health and criminal justice settings. She has a warm, compassionate approach grounded in evidence-based practices. Alyshia strives to provide a safe and non-judgemental space where people can find their footing, process their difficulties, and develop the skills to confidence to navigate pathways forward that are guided by their own values and goals. Alyshia provides psychological therapy for people experiencing a range of
challenges and mental health difficulties, including adjustment to stressors, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, emotion regulation, and trauma. She is particularly passionate about supporting mothers, fathers, and whānau experiencing mental health or adjustment difficulties during the antenatal and postnatal periods. This includes therapy related to miscarriage, stillbirth, baby and infant loss, and terminations for medical reasons/ending a wanted or unwanted pregnancy, and pregnancy after loss. In her home life, Alyshia raises her living child and has lived experience of baby loss. These experiences with loss have shaped the compassion and sensitivity she brings
to her work and informed her clinical interest in resilience and post-traumatic growth following significant loss. In her spare time, Alyshia runs for fun, bakes, enjoys time outdoors and spending quality time with family and friends.
